The cost for this party is $15. per person or $25. for a pair.

What is a Cuddle Party?

A Cuddle Party is a fun and powerful way to build communication skills, boundaries, and confidence in a safe, playful, nurturing setting as they cuddle.

A Cuddle Party looks like a bunch of adults cuddling in pajamas and that's pretty much what it is. However, the skills used to practice this workshop go far deeper than that. It is important to mention that a Cuddle Party is strictly a non-sexual event. While it is an excellent place for people to give and receive affection, communicate, and build a since of community it is a non-sexual connection. This is also a sober event; participants are not allowed to consume drugs or alcohol during the event, and will be denied entry if substance abuse is suspected.

Why would people come to a Cuddle Party?

A participant may come to a Cuddle Party to practice setting boundaries for themselves by saying no; another person may by touch starved and lonely and come to a Cuddle Party for companionship and non-sexual affection; others may see a Cuddle Party as a way to push their personal boundaries and try something new; participants may find it a powerful confidence building workshop where they learn to boldly ask for what they want, while learning to hear no gracefully; A Cuddle Party is a great way to become closer to a community of people and meet new friends; A Cuddle Party is an excellent stress reliever, it is a safe and relaxing space. Because there are so many layers to this workshop Cuddle Party is available to everyone on any level in some way.

What will happen there?

I the facilitator will welcome and check in guests. As people enter and sign in they will see an open space where I will have laid out a collection of blankets and pillows in a big circle. Participants will be free to have a light snack, change into sweats or pajamas, or just take a seat and form a big circle. I will introduce myself and begin to describe to the group my intention and set the rules for a safe and enjoyable experience. Every Cuddle Party begins with a Welcome Circle that fully explains the rules for a Cuddle Party and how to participate. Everyone will be allowed to introduce themselves, participate in ice breakers, and ask questions. The Welcome Circle lasts around 45 minutes followed by about 2 hours of free-style cuddling a puppy pile and the closing circle. Participants will then be free to mingle or ask questions, talk and debrief before leaving the space.

How long does it last?

About 3 hours.

What happens next?

Participants may come to one party and never return; they make think it is wonderful and want to attend over and over, inviting their friends. Cuddle Party will be a different experience for everybody!

Who can participate?

Anyone 18 and older who can verbally make and accept requests may participate. It is important that participants speak good English and are considered competent to make decisions for themselves.
