Hike Carpenter Peak in Roxborough State Park Front Range Club Saturday, May 12th, 9:00 am Meet in the Visitors Center, look for Greg with a bright yellow Front Range Club sign Enjoy an moderate 8 mile hike (1,200 ft. elevation gain). A 2 mile loop was added at the top of Carpenter mountain two years ago. We will be rewarded with stunning views of the South Platte Valley, Douglas county and Denver. We will be on the trail about four hours, so bring water and snacks. Optional lunch after the hike at Nicolo's, 8361 N Rampart Range Rd. (by Safeway). If the weather is bad we will take a lower trail in the park. Roxborough State Park park is a favorite for nature lovers and birders. Sorry, no dogs on this hike. Bring your gear: Water, snacks for trail, hiking boots or shoes adequate for a mountain trail, clothes for veriable conditions including a waterproof jacket, sunscreen, etc. Cost: $5 park admission per vehicle RSVP by Friday, Sept. 1st Email gregw@intelligentdating.net Directions: from C-470 and Wadsworth, go South on Wadsworth 2 miles to Waterton Rd.
