will be singing at the base of the light rail station in Englewood. Starts
at 6:30 pm.

Our much anticipated St. Frances Cabrini meeting and picnic at the CLEMENT
PARK SHELTER
(the one closest to the Library off Bowles across from Ruby Tuesdays)
We will provide the meat and drinks just bring a dish to share.
This is always one of our best attended events. Great way to catch up
with old friends and meet some new people. Starts 6:30 pm . Questions?

Celebrate Littleton's Western Welcome Week by going to Sterne Park (5900
S. Spotswood)
At 6 pm. Enjoy a BBQ beef sandwich with trimmings, dinner sponsored by
the Lions Club ($9.00).
Donate any old eyeglasses as the Lions will be collecting.
Free concert by Root'n Toot'n Dixieland Jazz Band and the Denver Municipal
Band.
Stay for the fireworks. Remember your lawn chair and look for Joan's
yellow balloons.

It's the Summer Fling Singles dance. Put on your dancing shoes and join
the YES Singles Group. Wear your festive Tropical/Hawaiian/Summer attire.

Party, Party, Party... at Marlene's house. We are celebrating Ken's August
birthday.
Starts around 2 pm. The theme is Italian. For those that wish we will
be playing bocce
for those that come to eat (and I know who you are!) Marlene will have
cake and ice-cream
Dinner will be salad, bread and various pasta dishes.
In lieu of a present, or pot luck dish -- please bring a bottle of vino
(Ken's wine cellar is currently empty) Don't miss THE social event of

This year marks 25 years of "A Taste of Colorado" Festival.
Let's celebrate!
We'll ride the light rail downtown. Enjoy the free music entertainment,
peruse the artisans and venders marketplace and try a variety of culinary
delights. No admission fee = no excuse.

Feeling lucky? Join Ken as we head on out to Black Hawk.
If you saved your tickets from Hudson Gardens concerts on the back is
free buffet for 2 at the Riviera.
We will eat dinner there then head to Fortune Valley to hear a really
fun band -- The Hot Posse.

It's Lory's Labor Day Picnic.
Do make a special effort to attend because this event is loads of fun...
DJ music and dancing, sand volley ball, horseshoes, bocce ball, croquet
etc.
Cost of $15.00 (cash only) includes grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, macaroni
salad, fruit, chips cookies, ice tea and soda.
It will be held at the Foothills Golf Course (3901 South Carr St.-near
Wadsworth and Hampden.)
