Promptly at 5:30 PM we will have a cooking class with Katie Den Ouden. She will prepare a menu entitled Colorado Highlights - Autumn Harvest Salad, Strawberry Leek Quesadillas or Peach Portobello burgers, and a dessert highlighting peaches, blueberries, or cherries.

Katie Den Ouden is a Certified Holistic Health Coach, holds an MA in educational psychology, and is passionate about showing others how to heal their own health concerns naturally, mend their relationship with food and morph it into a love affair. Her training through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and University of Colorado has allowed her to work with and counsel numerous individuals and groups.

Katie owns and operates her own health & wellness coaching practice, www.RootedWellbeing.com, is a published writer, university guest speaker lecturing on the topic of school gardens and its benefits and impact on social responsibility and health, and conducts holistic health workshops, seminars, and cooking classes for corporations, small business, and individuals. She prides herself in bringing fun AND taste back to the kitchen, all while still having nutritious and healing foods…ultimately leading others to return to their roots and find their own Rooted Wellbeing.

To help defray the cost of the demonstration and the food supplies, there will be a $3 charge for members, and a $5 charge for visitors. The $5 charge for guests can be applied to our reasonable $25.00 a year membership. Please remember to RSVP by Friday, July 22 to 303-639-7622 as we won't have enough food for everyone without an RSVP.
