Summer Wake Party

This is one of Up The Creek’s signature parties and is well attended by members and guests!

We will have plenty of BBQ food, side dishes, desserts, beer, wine, and UTC Margaritas. Volleyball, Kickball, Horseshoes, Croquet, and other games are played throughout the day, or you can socialize with other members and guests. There will also be dance music played late afternoon and dancing under the pavilion until sunset.

Come for the full day or drop by for a couple of hours. Bring a lawn chair, sunscreen, your appetite, a friend, your favorite outdoor sports equipment, and your party attitude! Rain or shine the Summer Bash is on!

KICKBALL TOURNAMENT AT THE SUMMER WAKE

Along with other games we are going to have another KICKBALL TOURNAMENT with the winners being awarded the Kickball trophy. Kickball is played just like baseball only we kick a large soccer like ball rather than use a bat. We run the bases and field just like baseball but play on a smaller field.

Be sure to bring tennis shoes and lawn chairs so you can comfortably play or cheer for your team. Everyone will be placed on a team by the MONTH of your birth. You can choose to either play Kickball or root for your team.

Volunteers Needed: With the large crowd that we are expecting at this event we need many helping hands to make this party a success. If you can help out with preparing a side dish or a desert ahead of time, or run a shift at the grill, please contact our Vice-President of Parties, Sandy Skaggs at VicePresident@UpTheCreek.Org.

Directions: The park is 3 blocks south of Alameda & is bordered by South Kipling on the west & South Garrison on the east. You can enter the park from South Kipling or South Garrison. Look for the 3 covered pavilions with the blue roofs in the center of the park.

Non-Members: $20
